What this phrase means to me

Some people hear “Be Gay, Do Crime” and think it’s a call to mischief. And honestly, mischief is fun, but that’s not the heart of it.

There are places in the world—right now—where simply being gay is treated as a crime. Existing becomes resistance. Joy becomes defiance. Pride becomes an act of survival.

This mug celebrates that truth:
Be gay. Exist freely. And in doing so, you’re already breaking the unjust rules meant to contain you.
